Uganda Youth Forum (UYF) was founded in 1992 by the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda, Hon. Janet K. Museveni. It was formed as a response to the helplessness among the youth during the time when the country had just come out of war and the HIV/AIDS pandemic was destroying families.
UYF has since 1992 worked with youth by providing a platform for open dialogue on issues and challenges of growing up, such as sexuality, relationships, community service, career choices, patriotism, entrepreneurship and a productive work ethic.
Uganda Youth Forum is a nation wide Non-Governmental Organization that empowers youth to lead productive and transformed lives through: training in life skills; counselling and mentoring; creating forums for dialogue and advocacy; patriotism and entrepreneurship.
UYF primary audience are the youth ages 10-35 and works with Parents and leaders to provide a conducive environment for young people to grow and thrive. UYF target Parents, Community Leaders, Influential adults and policy makers as a secondary audience for purposes of achieving the desired changes and impact in our primary target.
