The Uganda Youth Forum (UYF) and the Uganda Christian Lawyers’ Fraternity (UCLF) have partnered to promote excellence, sense of purpose, self-awareness and self-worth among the youth as well as to enhance their competitiveness through positive character, and the requisite technical skills among the youth.
“COME, LET US REBUILD THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM AND WE WILL NO LONGER BE IN DISGRACE’’
The 8th National Youth Convention focused on promotion of steadfastness, sense of purpose, self-awareness and self-worth among the youth as well as to enhance their competitiveness through positive character and the requisite technical skills among the youth.
The Convention was hybrid with physical and online participation.
“STAYING LOYAL AND STEADFAST TO SELF AND NATION”
The 7th National Youth Convention aimed at empowering young people to lead healthy, productive and to be proper uprifgt citizens with transformed lives. They need to be transformed by the renewing of their minds, changing their world view and information sources, in order to have upright minds.
The Convention was a 10 day residential bootcamp physically attended.
“BE YE TRANSFORMED”
The 6th National Youth Convention focused on empowering young people to lead healthy, productive and transformed lives. Young people need to be transformed by the renewing of their minds, changing their world view and information sources, in order to have upright minds.
In her keynote address, Maama Janet K Museveni advised the youth to remain pure and not fall for promises made by adults in exchange for sexual favors.
“WISDOM: A steadfast walk on the sacred foundations”
The 5th Youth Convention was focused on promotion of steadfastness, sense of purpose, self-awareness and self-worth among the youth.
The First Lady shared that many times the world can be a confusing place, but God wants us to thrive through by enjoying the good of this world. That God wants to transform us by renewing our minds so that we can know what is good and what is bad.

The The major aim of this convention was to promote excellence, sense of purpose, self-awareness and self-worth among the youth as well as to enhance their competitiveness through positive character, and the requisite technical skills among the youth.
“OUR FUTURE, OUR VALUES: NAVIGATING THROUGH THE SHIFTING MORAL CULTURE”
The 3rd National Youth Convention showed the importance of soft skills with a focus on belief systems to alter moral and ethical values of the youth, with a view of changing the rampant negative value trends among the young people in Uganda.
“ENTREPRENUERSHIP AND INTRAPRENUERSHIP FOR THE 21ST CENTURY YOUTH”.
The 2nd virtual youth convention emphasized practical skills for the youth. The youth were challenged to start business enterprises and further serve effectively in their work place.
The convention addressed key youth issues through Learning to be an entrepreneur and developing entrepreneurial skills, inspiring and helping entrepreneurs to develop projects, development of critical reflexivity, internalization of knowledge, ability to improvise and empowerment of the youth.
“Values and Skills for the 21st Century Youth”
The inaugural National Youth Convention wholistically informed, reminded, empowered, trained and mentored the youth leaders in Godly virtues.
The Convention relayed principles of life; virtues of better citizenary and future leadership of a better Uganda; Some ofthe key take homes; Make integrity your life goals; be truthful to self and others and to God.
